swap cards

can't say when the last time was that i posted this much in one week.

anyway, i am in a swap group that sends out swaps for every mini and new catty that comes out. these swaps are for the new occasions mini that started April 1st. let me know what ya think.

this card uses "great friend" with celery, apricot and basic gray. the butterfly is layered on celery and only mounted down the middle so that the wings can "fly."




"sense of time" was used for my second card. i love this set. there was a similar "clock" set a few years ago and i was so disappointed when it retired.

caramel, chocolate chip and vanilla were used for this card. hmmmmm, sounds like a sundae! i cut out all of the pieces and distressed everything then added a gold brad to the center of the clock hands. i sponged over the clock face hoping to give it an old feel. i found some "watch" parts that i had bought ages ago (and finally found a use for ;) then put a small piece of them on the smaller clock workings.

i stamped the sentiment in caramel and then used marker over to highlight the "learn, live and hope."
