what a weekend

it was a rough weekend. horrendous storms friday with tornado and storm warnings just waiting to rip through hickory corners. after the rain friday i ran some stuff down to the neighbors for their grad party saturday and slipped on their outside stairs. scrapped up my leg and wretched out my back. had alot of pain on friday and saturday. went to the grad party, stayed inside most of the time because of the heat and humidity and almost fell asleep. a friend brought me home and i slept from about 5:30 - 9 pm. was up two hours and slept through the pm except for the storm at 3:30. better sunday, but still tired and achy and we had another grad party. lost All power about 3:10 pm and had more storms. power was gone for three hours. that was fun, especially when we're in the country and do not have a generator. all of these storms had terrible winds causing downed power lines and trees. at one of our neighbors about 3/4 down the road their silo went up and across the road into a cornfield.

we were very thankful and lucky to not have even had a branch down in our yard. aaah, the power of prayer.

today it is bright and sunny, though rain is expected at some point.

more later. am thinking about doing some laundry today, but then again it might not happen. still have lots of stamping to do.
