we had to put our oldest cat, simca, to sleep today. she was sixteen years old. she suffered from a heart murmur and the doctor said she may also have a thyroid issue as well. not to mention her cataracts.
she was literally skin and bones and had patches of hair gone.
the first picture, taken last winter, you can hardly see her face because she was sleeping. her eyes were closed and it just looks like a black furry head with ears.
her last picture was taken last pm when she came to sit in chip's lap. you can see how small she is and the patches of fur missing.
when i picked her up to take her to the vet she started purring and never stopped until dr dan injected her. she took about two breaths and went very peacefully. she looked just like she was sleeping.
give someone a hug today and tell them you love them. even if it is your dog or cat. they love us so unconditionally!!!

Carol- I am so sorry about your kitty. I know how hard is was to make that decision. I had to do it years ago with my dog. I had him for 16 years. They are better off now not suffering. Big hugs are coming your way!
Dear Carol, Chip and Missy,
I know how hard it seems right now to be without your cat but she is up in cat heaven with our cat Callie playing and chasing birds.
We are sending out hugs to all of you. Love Pam and Art
Aw Carol, that's so sad to lose such a great friend. Our Nike is about 15 now and we keep thinking it's getting close, but all you can do is keep them comfortable and happy and enjoy whatever time you get. Big hugs to you!
