SU! convention sneak peek

these are some of the projects i've been working on for our upcoming Stampin' Up! Celebrate '08 Convention in only 13 more days!!! it is the 20 year anniversary of SU! so we should have boatloads of fun.

i will be staying at the "diva house" with my udi friends. the first picture is a pail for each diva on the first pm of convention. they are small metal pails with rub ons filled with some chocolate kisses. they were too quick and easy to make.












the book is a gift for my roommate, christine. i hope my diva friends don't peak at my projects and ruin my surprises. haha. this is done with one of our new designer series papers: bella rose. isn't it beautiful? the pink accent is some of our in '08 - '09 in colors: pirouette pink and our new flat scallop punch. i am in love with this shade of pink. i finished the book off with chunky sprinkles glitter to spell out "divas." i'm hoping that christine will be able to put photos, notes, and some fond memories of convention in this book.






this card uses the pirouette pink again, and riding hood red. "heard from the heart" is one of our sneak peek preorders. it is alot like "wonderful words" only better. i had intentions of using this card as a swap, but it used approximately 24" of ribbon. very Not practical or cost effective for swapping. i like it anyway. :)

the markings on the base are done with the "sanded" background stamp. this stamp is so versatile and is just right for finishing off a project that needs a little something. of course, if it doesn't have ribbon or glitter there is always the bling brads. these are so fun to play with. they come in eight colors, three different sizes and two shapes. how 'bout that!!!














this card is for our diva house swap. it ia to have a friendship theme and be purple. i'm thinkin' it covers the bases.
















my last project is for our shoebox swap on friday the 1st. we will be having a BBQ at the house and stamping . . . of course.

it is a 2009 calendar bookmark. i wanted something other than a card that was relatively easy to make and transport. i hope i've succeeded in the eyes of the other divas.

the bookmark itself, is approximately 8 1/2 x 2 1/2 with our new pacific point textured card stock and ink.
